Phillip Riley has partnered with a highly distinguished R&D business in Perth as they look for a senior test engineer to help evolve their testing capabilities. The business is dedicated to de-carbonisation, and this project is helping to solve a lot of challenges in their sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing processes, working with suppliers and shaping how the business operates internally.
This is a career defining role for a senior test engineer looking to make the step up into more of a holistic approach to testing. The role is based out of their R&D facility in East Perth, working alongside a team of multi-disciplinary engineering staff. You will be given the license to decide what products need testing, how to test them, how to document, and in some cases, liaise with external specialist businesses who can provide the necessary capabilities.
The Role: Senior Test Engineer
Length: 12-month contract (likely to extend)
Location: Eastern Suburbs, Perth
Rate: $95 - $130 p/h + Super (5/2 Roster, 7.6 hours per day)
Key Skills:
- Degree qualified, likely in Electrical Engineering
- Demonstratable experience in an Electrical Engineering Role
- Electrical Testing Experience – Hardware/Software in-the-loop, Troubleshooting (may have used software).
- A background in product development (testing off physical products)
- Flexible, open-minded and able to prioritise certain tasks
- Experience designing a testing RIG looked on favourably
- An interest in renewable energy and sustainability would be suitable
