Phillip Riley has partnered with a highly distinguished R&D business in Perth as they look for a BOM coordinator to help evolve their supply chain capabilities. The business is dedicated to de-carbonisation, and this project is helping to solve a lot of challenges in their sector.
The successful candidate will work alongside a brilliant team of technology staff to ensure seamless delivery of essential products that will help deliver bleeding edge projects.
Job Title: BOM Coordinator
Length: 12 Month contract
Details: 5/2 Roster, 40 hour week
Location: Eastern Suburbs, Perth
Rate: $60-$90 + super P/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain BOMs for new and existing products, ensuring all parts, assemblies, and subassemblies are accurately documented and updated.
- Ensure all BOM data is accurately entered and maintained in the company's PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to gather necessary information and ensure BOMs reflect current product designs and changes.
- Coordinate and document all engineering changes, ensuring that BOMs are updated and communicated to relevant departments in a timely manner.
- Ensure BOMs comply with company standards and regulatory requirements, including documentation standards and material specifications.
- Conduct regular audits of BOMs to ensure accuracy and completeness, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist in resolving BOM-related issues that arise during production, working with the production team to implement solutions quickly and efficiently.
- Generate BOM-related reports and metrics for management, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Qualification in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a BOM coordination or similar role within a product development or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in PLM/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Siemens Teamcenter) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information across different functional teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to BOM management.
